Slayers (スレイヤーズ / スレイヤーズ無印, Slayers ?) is the name of the first 26 half-hour episode series of the Slayers anime. It is a rough adaptation of the first and third Slayers novels and the basis of the Slayers: Super-Explosive Demon Story manga volumes 1-5 (4th volume is a adaptation of one of the movies).
Dragon Slayer (series) Designed by Yoshio Kiya, the game gave rise to a series of sequels, most of them created by Falcom, with the exception of Faxanadu by Hudson Soft. The Dragon Slayer series was historically significant, both as a founder of the Japanese role-playing game industry, and as the progenitor of the action role-playing game genre.
Tsuguko?, lit. Successor) is an exceptionally talented combatant of the Demon Slayer Corps who is designated as the apprentice and eventual successor of one of the Hashira.
Slayers aired Tuesday evenings from April 7, 1995, to September 29, 1995 on TV Tokyo and will air on CoLours TV on weeknights begining September 11, 2006.
Incredible physical strength and superhero status are not absolutely required to wield Mjolnir, but that's still a good start, and the invincible All Might rounds out this package with a heroic heart truly worthy of lifting Thor's hammer against the forces of evil.
Thors was once a proud Jomsviking warrior, but he eventually grew tired of pointless and miserable bloodshed, so he faked his death and escaped that life along with his new bride, Helga. Thors settled down on the coast of Iceland with his new family.
Captain Akitaru Obi of the 8th company doesn't actually have his own ignition ability, but it seems he doesn't need one, either. He works hard to keep himself in top physical condition, and he bravely takes on Infernals and white-clad cultists to protect the whole of the Japanese Empire. He has a strong sense of duty that few can match.
Erza Scarlet is an S-ranked wizard in the Fairy Tail guild, and ever since her girlhood, she has been an incredibly brave and heroic person who will face any odds for the sake of others. She led the great escape of the Tower of Heaven project and then joined the Fairy Tail guild to continue her adventure.
Jonathan Joestar was the first Joestar hero to appear, and he was the star of the Phantom Blood story arc. Jonathan fancied himself a proper gentleman, and it's easy to see why. He won't hesitate to leap into danger to protect others, and he never has any hate or malice in his heart, either. Only duty.
Commander Erwin Smith led the Scouts, and he had earned the total respect of Captain Levi Ackerman, which isn't easy to do. Erwin Smith always had what it took to be a great leader and fighter, and even when he lost an arm to the Titans, all he could think about was rallying his troops to continue the battle.
Kyojuro Rengoku was the Flame Hashira, a swordsman who uses fierce fire-based attacks to aggressively slash demons apart without mercy. He also had a gung-ho and lively personality to match his element, but never was he reckless or arrogant about it. He was surprisingly humble in many ways.
Slayers aired Tuesday evenings from April 7, 1995, to September 29, 1995 on TV Tokyo and will air on CoLours TV on weeknights begining September 11, 2006.
By channeling the Giga Slave into the Sword of Light, and with help from the remains of Rezo's soul, Lina is able to destroy Shabranigdu. After the battle, Zelgadiss leaves the group and goes his own separate way. Gourry decides to continue traveling with Lina to Atlas city. This ends the first story arc.
Eventually, Lina decides to use the only option left to her: the Giga Slave, a spell which supposedly draws its power from a mazoku even more powerful than Shabranigdu, called the Lord of Nightmares (Note: the Lord of Nightmares is not a mazoku, nor is she a shinzoku.
Zolf tells Noonsa to give Lina a kiss, which Noonsa does without hesitation by sucking on her head.
Lina informs Gourry that since she is approaching "that time of the month," she will not be able to use her magic. Shortly thereafter, they are attacked by Zelgadiss, Rodimus, and another henchmen Dilgear.
The next day, the remaining Dragon Fangs attack her, seeking revenge. Lina is rescued (though she did not need it) by a traveling swordsman, Gourry Gabriev.
Along the way, they encounter a mysterious chimera named Zelgadiss Graywords, and his servant Zolf. Zelgadiss wants one of the items Lina stole from the Dragon Fangs, though he refuses to specify which item it is.
Goblin Slayer, as the name suggests, is an anime about slaying goblins. Set in a fantasy world that bears a close resemblance to video game mechanics, complete with 'levels' and quests that are posted on an inn's noticeboard, Goblin Slayer has the action and fantasy that a fan of Demon Slayer would enjoy.
The quirks are diverse and creative, and hero Izuku Midoriya was born quirkless, until he received the powerful One For All so he can replace All Might as the new symbol of peace.
Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime in recent years. The series follows a young man named Tanjiro as his family is killed by a demon and his sister is transformed into a demon in the process. Rather than accepting his sister's fate, Tanjiro insists on saving her life and turning her back into a human.
2 Inuyasha. Inuyasha is another famous anime that has stood the test of time. The series follows a 15-year-old schoolgirl from modern-day Tokyo who falls into a well at her family's shrine and ends up being transported back in time to the Sengoku Period in Japan. There she meets the half-dog demon, Inuyasha.
In an amusing and educational way, Cells at Work! is a "monster hunter" anime that depicts the microscopic battles taking place in the human body every day. Germs and viruses are huge, scary and cool, and knife-wielding white blood cells must fight them to the death.
There she meets the half-dog demon, Inuyasha. Aside from the presence of demons and high octane action, Inuyasha has an incredibly compelling story with fantastic characters that is a must-watch for all anime fans, nevermind just Demon Slayer fans.
The Beserk manga series has had several anime adaptations, but one should naturally start with the first to be released, 1997 's Berserk. This series focusses on the Black Swordsman arc of the manga and follows a talented swordsman who joins a group of mercenaries.
Thor’s Duel with Hrungnir. Hrungnir (“The Brawler” [1]) was the mightiest of all of the giants, the spirits of darkness, winter, night, and the grave, who are often the enemies of the gods. One day Hrungnir was paid a visit in Jotunheim, the homeland of the giants, by Odin.
When Thor arrived and discovered the situation, he lifted his hammer and prepared to slay Hrungnir there on the spot.
Thor hurled his hammer at the giant, and the giant slung his whetstone at the god. The stone burst against Thor’s forehead and shattered into pieces, and this is the origin of all flint on earth. Thor’s hammer also struck Hrungnir’s head, but this time it was the giant’s head that was shattered.
When the arranged time had arrived, Hrungnir walked to the field near Jotunheim where the duel was to be held. He wore stone armor, brandished a stone shield, and menacingly waved a whetstone, his chosen weapon, in the air above him.
One day Hrungnir was paid a visit in Jotunheim, the homeland of the giants, by Odin. Hrungnir didn’t recognize the god at first, and instead wondered aloud who this stranger might be whose horse could ride through the air and the water, as he had seen the horse do at the god’s approach.
So Thor sought out the sorceress Groa (“Thriving” [2] ), who sang spells over the stone to remove it from the god’s brow. When Thor felt the stone moving, he told the sorceress many joyous things to encourage her, chiefly that he had encountered her lost husband, who would soon be home.
Spin-offs. Xanadu series. The Legend of Heroes series. Dragon Slayer (ドラゴンスレイヤー, Doragon Sureiyā) is a series of video games developed and published by Nihon Falcom. The first Dragon Slayer title is an early action role-playing game, released in 1984 for the NEC PC-88 computer system and ported by Square for the MSX.
The original Dragon Slayer, released for the PC-88 in 1984, is considered to be the first action-RPG. In contrast to earlier turn-based roguelikes, Dragon Slayer was a dungeon crawl RPG that was entirely real-time with action-oriented combat.
An English version of the 1989 title Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes was released for the TurboGrafx-CD in 1991, and is usually known as simply Dragon Slayer. A sequel, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II, was released in 1992, but never saw an official English release. Subsequent The Legend of Heroes games dropped their association with the Dragon Slayer series. In contrast to the action-oriented gameplay of most other Dragon Slayer titles, both The Legend of Heroes titles use turn-based combat. The 1991 title Lord Monarch, on the other hand, was an early real-time strategy game. Several more games were released in the following years as part of the Xanadu subseries: the action role-playing games The Legend of Xanadu and The Legend of Xanadu II, released in 1994 and 1995 respectively, as well as Xanadu Next in 2005 and Tokyo Xanadu in 2015.
These games went on to influence later series such as The Legend of Zelda, Hydlide, and Falcom's own Ys. The way the Dragon Slayer series reworked the entire game system of each installment is also considered an influence on Square's Final Fantasy, which would do the same for each of its installments.
Dragon Slayer also featured an in-game map to help with the dungeon-crawling, required item management due to the inventory being limited to one item at a time, and introduced the use of item-based puzzles which later influenced The Legend of Zelda.
Although commonly referred to as a series, the Drago n Slayer name is used to designate the body of work from producer Yoshio Kiya. There is no continuity in plot or even genre, but most of the games use role-playing game (RPG) elements and experiment with real-time action gameplay.
There are two ways for a Demon Slayers to become a Tsuguko, one can either by apply for the position and get accepted, or they can be scouted by one of the current Hashira. A Tsuguko normally uses the same Breathing Style as the Hashira they serve under, though this isn't a strict requirement.
