Kite is one of those anime that I want to like more than I do, but is impossible to do so as a critic. Along those lines, it's also an anime that is almost impossible to hate...if you don't mind very high levels of violence, gore and some pretty graphic sex (if you see the uncut version). Kite is an anime of extremes.
Kite, known as A Kite (Japanese: A カイト) in Japan, is a Japanese original video animation written and directed by Yasuomi Umetsu. Two 35-minute episodes were released on VHS on February 25 and October 25, 1998 respectively. However, subsequent releases, including all three DVD releases in the United States, have edited the OVA into a film.
However, it is considered an anime cult classic by some fans. A live action adaptation of Kite has been reported to be in various stages of pre-production for a number of years now, with American film director Rob Cohen attached as either director or producer.

This is… I don’t really know how to explain this one. It’s not all that enjoyable, and yet, it’s got a strange feeling. It’s not even what I would consider a Hentai since there were very few sex scenes, most consisting of story plot instead.
Full Length Movies. (45 minutes+) Movie series included but only the first one. Movies that are attached to anime series aren't included but if they came first they are. Made a note of ones that I think are stand out movies that all anime fans should watch on some need to finish that part still
