While I might add "suitable for all ages," the truth is that some of the themes about sex, war, and madness are too heavy for really young folk. When I saw the movie in the 70s as a pre-teen, I fixated on the idea that the crazy people were kinder and more "normal" in some ways than the "sane" people who fought WWI: The War to End All Wars.
