The Hooded Woman was a Pureblood Vampire and an Ancestor, whose name is unknown. The color of the Hooded Woman's eyes and hair is unknown though the manga shows her eyes and hair as being a light color. She had her hair partially braided.
The Hooded Woman had demonstrated the following abilities: The Hooded Woman was the creator of Anti-vampire weapons. The Hooded Woman gave 'Kaname' his name, after her hometown, and was his companion, friend and mentor. In the manga, Kaname Kuran seemed to have romantic feelings for The Hooded Woman.
Like all Pureblood vampires, The Hooded Woman had immortality and the ability to heal from anything excluding anti-vampire weapon wounds to the heart or head. Like all vampires, she could absorb the powers from vampires whose blood she drinks. Like all vampires, she also has enhanced strength and super speed.
The Hooded Woman dies in front of Kaname, exclaiming before her death, "It seems the only thing that can kill us, is ourselves". Kaname becomes distressed over her loss and is filled with remorse over his inability to protect her, worsened by his plan to use himself as the sacrifice.
Kaname Kuran The Hooded Woman gave 'Kaname' his name, after her hometown, and was his companion, friend and mentor. In the manga, Kaname Kuran seemed to have romantic feelings for The Hooded Woman. In 81st Night, Kaname told Yuki that killing all the Purebloods was The Hooded Woman's wish.
After she nearly attacks Yori due to blood-lust, she finds afterwards that she is pregnant with Kaname's daughter and resolves to live, for him and their child. Kaname and Yuki's love for each other remains unchanged through out Vampire Knight Memories. Kaname often express his desires to see Yuki again.
Shizuka Hio (緋桜 閑, Hiō Shizuka) was the Pureblood vampire who bit Zero Kiryu. Even for a Pureblood, her fellow vampires felt uneasy around her and referred to her as the "Flowers-blooming-out-of-season princess" or "Kuruizaki-hime."
Kaname Kuran is the ancestor of the Kuran family and one of the progenitors of the vampire race. He lived alongside another mysterious ancestor known as The Hooded Woman. This woman tossed her heart into a blazing furnace in order to forge weapons that are capable of killing vampires.

ChisakiThis worsens after Chisaki saves Tsumugu at the Ofunehiki, and after that holds him, ignoring Kaname who actually needed her help. After the timeskip, Kaname wakes up and he ends up living with him and Chisaki.
With this act, along with being a twin vampire hunter of excellent lineage who has become a vampire, within Zero is the blood of three Purebloods, Yuki, Kaname and Shizuka, making Zero one of the most powerful characters in the series and saving him from becoming a Level E.
To protect Yuki, Kaname kills Shizuka Hio. He promises Shizuka that he will destroy those who had twisted the fate of the Purebloods. He drinks her blood in order to gain power to protect Yuki and to accomplish his goal.
Senri Good at : Science. Despite being Kaname and Yuki's cousin, Senri only ever acknowledges this once when attending a vampire ball held by the pair. Senri tells Rima that he's going to show support to his cousins.

Kaname is the founder of the Kuran family, and he was reawakened by Rido Kuran. After being reawakened, he was raised as the son of Haruka and Juri, who are Yuuki's parents. To summarize, Kaname is Yuuki's ancestor, though he was raised (after being reawakened) as her brother.
