It’s the same in anime as well, though it’s actually quite rare to see healthy relationships between siblings. Most sibling bonds shown on screen are toxic and unhealthy, and the seemingly positive ones fall apart if you look too closely as well. Sometimes, it’s the unnecessary hate between the siblings that makes their relationship unbearable.
Though the seminal Japanese light novel ("light" is short for "en-light-enment") "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" (Oreimo for short) is arguably the founding work of the Imoutocore Movement, the animated television adaptation of the light novel "As Long as There's Love, It Doesn't Matter If He is My Brother, Right?"
Basically cute young-looking girls in anime are called lolis. Furthermore, legal lolis are characters that look young but are over the age of 18 thus legally adult. Lolis are generally characters that give comedic relief, “kawaii” moments, and of course meme templates in anime.

For fans of Oreimo, this is a continuation. After all, there's no way a series you've finished season one and true end can be just dropped without giving at least the first episode a try.
I had a lot of fun watching Oreimo. I really grew to appreciate all of the characters, especially Kuroneko and even the bratty Kirino. The banter between Kyousuke and his friends made me laugh hysterically many times throughout both seasons.
It could be classified as a harem anime but it's not the same as rosario + Vampire or Shuffle where the focus of the show is the group of girls trying to get the guy; it's more like a common high school story that has events where the protagonist does something that the girls find attractive.

Kyousuke ultimately won the bet, which he uses it to break their promise of only being a 'couple until graduation'. There is an after story named "A Momentary Chance Encounter", in which it is implied that Kirino and Kyousuke are still together.
RuriKyousuke and Ruri still date and break up, however the final chapter has Kyousuke and Ruri eventually getting married with two daughters and at least one more child on the way.
Kokoro Connect starts off pretty tame but develops really well. It's is an anime that has very interesting characters and character development. Honestly for me it was an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed it a lot and I think it was worth every minute of it.
Currently you are able to watch "Oreimo - Season 2" streaming on Funimation Now or for free with ads on Crunchyroll, VRV.

Hiroomi wants the attention of his sister, and when she does not give it to him, he resorts to underhanded activities to get what he wants. One example would be to force his sister to call him “onii-chan” in exchange for help or a favor, despite knowing she does not like calling him that.

Not every sibling relationship in anime was created equally. Though sibling rivalry can get old, sometimes sibling bonds can go too far. The relationship between siblings is often tough to describe, seeing how it involves a multitude of emotions and shared history. It’s the same in anime as well, though it’s actually quite rare to see healthy ...
The most enjoyable part of the anime, by far, was the moment when an unimportant background character performs an anime theme at a cosplay contest. That should tell you a lot. The animation is all standard slice-of-life type stuff. It's functional, but never catches your attention as being especially well made.
