A Certain Scientific Accelerator (Japanese: とある科学の 一方通行 アクセラレータ , Hepburn: Toaru Kagaku no Akuserarēta) is a Japanese animated television series based on the manga of the same name. It follows the most powerful Level 5 esper in Academy City named Accelerator as he protects Last Order from the city's darkness.

Before we delve headlong into this review, there are two questions I feel need to be addressed at the start.

Series Negatives

Whenever Accelerator was on screen, I was fully invested in this series. That was an issue because rarely was their anyone or anything else that could match him. In a lot of ways, Accelerator suffered from the same problem as One Punch Man did.

Final Thoughts

Although there were a few moments that failed to leave much of a mark, when this series did hit a stride, my god, did it hit it hard.

Reviews

A certain scientific accelerator... Isn't accelerator the main (and a damn good) reason to watch this masterpiece? besides him (and his badass laugh), the animation is great, not to say masterful, the chara design is just so great and the soundtracks are really good (it depends). This sequel is a real masterpiece that everyone should watch.

Discussions

Well shit... and here I thought Index was the weakest link in the Toaru franchise all this time. This edgefest certainly takes the cake. Right out of the dumpster.
