Shikabane Hime keep their human forms but do still have their own curse that occasionally manifest. Makina Hoshimura is the only known Shikabane Hime with a curse, with her being able to take life energy from Ouri Kagami , her contracted monk, and turn it into power that allows her to regenerate and go on a rampage killing Shikabane.
After being brutally murdered along with her family, Makina Hoshimura turns into a Shikabane Hime, a living corpse contracted to the Kougon Cult, in order to exert revenge on the mysterious undead organization responsible for her death. She is assisted in this task by Keisei Tagami, her contracted priest and former friend.
Taken as an action horror, Shikabane Hime is a decent show. It doess have some major problems with its themes and pacing, which are honestly kind of a mess. However, if you are in the mood for violence, disturbing imagery, and maybe even some solid drama, then you might want to give Shikabane Hime a try.

- The Loop. Makina Hoshimura (星村 眞姫那, Hoshimura Makina) is the main protagonist of the series. She is currently Ouri's Shikabane Hime of the Kōgon Sect who has formidable physical skills and armed with two Ingram MAC-11 machine pistols.
Recommended Audience: With some violence and fanservice, this series is appropriate for teenagers and up.
Bottom Line: Corpse Princess falls short in terms of horror and is only moderately successful in the action realm. Awful dialog makes the series much less enjoyable than it could have been. Recommendation: It's streaming on Hulu, so if you're bored you've really got nothing to lose.
